August 2008

It is my honour and privilege to serve as the Military Ordinariate President. I wish to thank all our members for having the confidence in me to elect me to this esteemed position.
I follow in the footsteps of many gifted and faithful women who have lead our organization for the past 43 years and I thank those I have know personally, for their support and guidance.
I also want to thank all our Spiritual Advisors and our Military Bishop, Bishop Donald Thériault for their unending support.

My motto for my term is ‘Faith, Family & Friends’, which to me, is what CWL is all about.
Faith is paramount in all that we do and is the reason we are united in The Catholic Women’s League.
Our family comes first to all of us. Our spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, extended families and our CWL sisters are all part of our family.
Our friends give us love, laughter and support. We depend on our friends to help us through the good times and the bad.

My goals for my term as President include uniting our councils to foster participation of all our CWL members to support each other, in faith, fellowship, fun and fulfillment and making our MO conventions informative and spiritually uplifting.
For all our members, attending the MO Convention is your way of showing your support and I strongly urge you to attend whenever possible. We come together in solidarity with other base councils, to meet our fellow league members, to proclaim our faith and promote positive change for the betterment of our members, our families, our community, our country and indeed our world.
As members of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada we are joined by our Christian Catholic values and strive to be advocates for the poor, underprivileged and downtrodden. We must continue to become educated about, speak up for and reach out to those in need.
